Our new offering on the bar has been commissioned by owners Anton and Gaynor by the now very famous Whitworths brewery three miles from the pub in Shirley. Steve principal brewer started off as a hobby for friends and relatives to taste his fine ale sobriety being the first beer out of the stable so to speak followed by sobriety blonde a zesty light ale, and now THE LAD darker in colour, rich malty toffee notes of which you will only be able to taste @ the lad.

We love our real ales at The Warwickshire Lad and we know you do too. So why not mosy on down for a delightful pint of Sobriety, a golden beer with a frothy crown. The signature ale from the newly opened Whitworth Brewery in Shirley. We’re confident our customers old and new will enjoy this refreshing beverage with its citrus zest and full bodied flavour will be a firm favourite in no time.

Henley Ice Cream is a local favourite that dates back to the early 1930s when two brothers Harry and Arthur Fathers first established the method of making ice cream with the know how of their mother who made the ice cream in Rubery. In the beginning the ice cream was made by hand and today is still made using traditional recipes and only the best quality ingredients.
